SageThumbs 2K 0.4.7
Stability release — fixes shell and preview-pane hangs.
Fixes
- Preview pane no longer hangs. Selecting an image in the file dialog / Explorer preview pane could freeze (sometimes needing
prevhost.exeto be killed). The preview now decodes off the host thread, and an internal concurrency lock that could leak when a host was force-killed is now self-healing — so the hang can no longer accumulate until a reboot. - Right-clicking an exotic file can no longer freeze Explorer. The classic context-menu preview now uses only fast in-process decoders (no ImageMagick/video/PDF/SVG on the shell thread).
- Video frame-grabs are time-bounded, so a stalling codec can't hang the thumbnail/preview.
- Context-menu actions (Convert, Resize, Rotate, etc.) now run in the background instead of blocking the Explorer window until they finish.
New
- Lazy update check. Opening Settings now does a quiet, once-a-day background check for a newer version and, if one exists, labels the "Check for updates" button accordingly — no nagging pop-ups, no checking more than once a day.
