SageThumbs 2K 0.6.3

One-click updates — SageThumbs can now update itself.

When a newer version is available, Settings ▸ Check for updates offers to download and install it for you: a progress bar shows the download, the file is integrity-checked before anything runs, Windows asks once for permission, and the new version installs in the background and lets you know when it's done with a quiet notification. You can still download the installer here by hand if you prefer.

Coming from an older 0.6.x build? You also get a serious fix.

The previous release (0.6.2) fixed a serious bug where file dialogs could hang for up to ~2 minutes — for instance when attaching or uploading a file in your browser — with the preview pane coming up blank/white. That fix, plus a full hardening pass so no single file can stall Explorer, a file dialog, or the preview host, is included here. If you skipped 0.6.2, updating now gets you current.

Install

Download SageThumbs2K-Setup-0.6.3.exe below and run it. It's unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may warn — click More info → Run anyway.
