Voxy not rendering any chunks

Hi, no matter what I do I cannot figure out why Voxy is not working for me - this is what I get with normal render distance set to 6 chunks:

It's just those 6 chunks. Using the default settings:

u have to move around or use the /voxy import etc etc command or chunky

Oh, I see. It does seem to remember the chunks now. However, it creates clumps of chunks where it renders the underground instead of the top:

IAlso, I noticed there is something about DH. I have used DH before and have a lot of chunks pre-generated, but having DH also enabled doesn't seem to help to speed the process up. What is the relation of Voxy to DH?

voxy with another mod can import dh chunks (in a lower quality) thats it u can use dh and voxy together but im pretty sure dh will just render on top. the black parts/caves visible part u see is from chunks behind it id say use chunky to generate the chunks. move around or use the import world world_name command

I tried increasing the base render distance to 16, and flew over it at normal fly speed. Yet, that and many other large areas still become like that once they're out of the base render dinstance. The world is generated a lot further than just what voxy renders. How would Chunky help with it when those chunks already exist?

Edit: Guessing by this ring that is showing after I leave the are and the middle that is not showing it seems that voxy generates its own version of the chunks and then saves it, but it takes an extremely long time?

It seems to be making its copy of all the height chunks as well, which would explain the time it's taking. But could that be somehow avoided to speed up the process? Maybe generating the Voxy chunks by height layers first? (Just wondering)

It seems each time I move away far enough to push the black areas out of vanilla render distance these messages appear in the log (and the area becomes black):
