Changing z when updating annotation?

When placing a marker/region, it gets a z-level from the view used when placing the object.
When later updating the object, e.g., dragging a marker, if done in a different z-level, should that change the z-level of the object? or would that be more annoying that helping?

If changing, then that would be an easy way to adjust z-level, also when zVisibility=single layer, by marking an object, and changing z-level with x/y or ctrl-arrow-up/down.
