[Feature Request] Allow flexible ordering of branch options?

Hello,

Thank you for the great package.

I've noticed that when branches are re-used that the ordering of the different options needs to be repeated in the exact same order. Could the error message either be clarified to describe this requirement and/or flexible ordering be allowed?
