Background
This work was developed as a stack of 11 PRs (#127–#137), each targeting the
previous branch. After #127 was merged into
main, the base of #128 was notupdated to
mainbefore merging, so it merged intoremove_dead_codeinstead.Every subsequent PR then stacked on top of that, with all changes accumulating
on
add_quant_reader_and_table_updates. This PR merges that consolidated branchinto main.
