The biggest Omega release yet: every known bug fixed, plus the features people expect from a real browser.
New features
- Bookmarks — star any page from the toolbar, manage everything on the new Bookmarks page
- Incognito tabs (Ctrl+Shift+N) — separate session, nothing recorded in history, no zoom persistence, private badge in the tab strip
- Auto-updates — Omega checks GitHub releases in the background, downloads silently, and installs on quit. Existing installs update themselves from this release on
- Site permission prompts — camera/mic/notifications/location ask first; allow/block decisions are remembered and manageable in Settings
- Clear browsing data — cookies, cache, localStorage, IndexedDB, service workers
- Dark mode for websites — Chromium auto-dark for light sites (Settings, applies after relaunch)
- Proxy support — system / no-proxy / fixed servers
- Custom search engines — add any
?q=%sengine, pick it in the address bar - Download location setting — choose your folder, or ask where to save each file

Fixes (44 total)
- macOS relaunch crash after closing all windows
- AI sidebar Stop button now really aborts; AI requests time out instead of hanging forever
- F11 fullscreen now works and persists
- Download filenames can no longer escape the Downloads folder (path traversal)
- Session is saved periodically — a crash no longer loses your tabs
- Ctrl/middle-click links open background tabs instead of stealing focus
- Restored windows can no longer appear off-screen on disconnected monitors
- Extension icons render correctly
- Settings file is validated and clamped — a corrupted settings.json can no longer break boot
omega https://…from the command line opens the URL, including omega:// pages- Ad-blocker rule updates rebuild correctly instead of growing forever

Installing
Download the installer for your platform below. Windows SmartScreen may warn because the binary is not code-signed — choose More info → Run anyway.
Updating from v0.1.x
Just install over the old version, or let the new auto-updater handle it after first launch.
