Recommendations for Future Development

- Research databases further before deciding on which one to use - we started with MongoDB for user registration but ended up with Firebase as Firebase provides user authentication and registration
- Group Chat - Time was wasted trying to get specific plugins for a group chat working, particularly Socket.io
- Authentication - We tried to use Passport to provide authentication but, as mentioned above, we ended up using Firebase to provide this functionality.
- Certain plugins, methods of doing things, etc. don't work depending on the type of project. For example, project type is "Ionic". Our initial way of trying to implement the groups/group chat wouldn't work as we were trying to do it in a way that was done specifically for an "Ionic-Angular" project. Differences between these two projects include using providers instead of service, routing is done differently, etc.
