I'd love there to be a live solar/energy view.

Something like this would be awesome.

How this relates to Home Assistant

Thanks @Zaphod360 for asking, and @Heronimonimo for pointing at power-flow-card-plus: the energy card is out in app 0.4.77 with firmware 0.47.0.

It shows the power of your house right now, the way Home Assistant's own live Energy view and power-flow-card-plus show it: solar, the grid and the battery around the house, with dots that run faster as more power flows, the battery's charge, and the devices that draw the most. An EV charger with a power sensor is one of those devices.

There is nothing to set up for it. It reads the Energy settings you already have in Home Assistant (Settings, Dashboards, Energy): the power sensors of your grid, solar and battery, the battery's charge and the devices with a power sensor. A tap on a circle opens that sensor's history.

To use it, update the app to 0.4.77, press Update on your screen for firmware 0.47.0, and add Energy from the library's Screen group. It takes 2 × 2 on most screens, two columns of the whole height on the Waveshare 4.3-inch and a page of its own on the CYD, and it turns upright on a screen standing up. Wow, this is really impressive!

A few small nitpick details:

• font size in the card is not in line with rest of the cards (visible when using higher DPI)
• animation from battery to house in my card is not smooth while other lines are
• individual source icons not configurable

Thanks for looking this closely, @Heronimonimo.

• The animation from the battery to the house: fixed. A dot's place was worked out from the time since the card started, so every new value made it jump, worse the longer the screen ran and most on a battery that reports often. Now a new value only changes how fast a dot runs. While testing I also found that the dots stood still when you came back to the card's page from another page; they now run again right away. Both were tested on a 4-inch Guition.
• The font size: a fair point. The card picks the largest of the screen's fonts that fits, so with a higher DPI it does not line up with the other cards. That is not changed yet.
• The source icons: Home Assistant's own energy views use fixed icons for solar, the grid and the battery, and the card follows them. The battery's icon does show its charge, as in Home Assistant.

The fixes come with the next release. To get them, update the app, then press Update on the screen.

I am on firmware 0.51.0 and the grid is missing in my view.

Yes, it is configured. Otherwise it would not be visible in Home Assistant (see "Netz" in second screenshot).

No, thats the energy view showing the energy sensors (kWh). You also need to configure the power sensor (W).

Thanks for the screenshots, @karlpelzer70-afk, they show it well: the house's 800 W is exactly your solar plus the battery, so the card had no grid power at all. The card shows the grid from the grid's power sensor in Home Assistant's Energy settings, not from its kWh meter, which is what the distribution card in your second screenshot uses.

I found one cause and fixed it. Home Assistant 2025.12 to 2026.2 stored the grid's power sensor in a different place in the Energy settings, which the card did not read. It now reads that too, the way Home Assistant's own live view did on those versions. That fix comes with the next release, as an update of the app.

Two questions, to make sure this is your case:

1. Which Home Assistant version do you run (Settings, About)?
2. In Settings, Dashboards, Energy, does your grid have a power sensor (in W or kW), next to its energy meters?

If the grid has no power sensor there, Home Assistant's own live power view leaves the grid out too, and adding one makes it show on the card as well.

@Heronimonimo : That's it! It was working in HA without this configuration. By adding the power sensor in the energy config it now shows the same in Tessera energy.

I think that this was a misconception by me. I thought that the card should show the same but it does not show the daily production/consumption but the actual values.

1. I am using HO Core 2026.9.4
2. I just used these and it was sufficient for HA engergy dashboard

According to Heronimonimo's answer, I added this to make it work on the Display:

Before "Kein Leistungssensor" was checked and it worked for the production/consumption.

A little bit off topic but still related:

• battery indicator in this energy flow chart should show SOC% as well if available. HA:s own flow does show it.
• moving dots are a little bit annoying (same problem with HA:s implementation). How about adding arrows to the lines instead that just change their size or appearance? Like -->-- -->>>---
