Thanks for moving this over here. I did some more reasearch and if these schematics https://community.home-assistant.io/t/guition-4-480x480-esp32-s3-4848s040-smart-display-with-lvgl/729271/963 are correct there is no way to read out the battery state :-( |

The board has an https://www.lcsc.com/product-detail/C181692.html power management IC with LiPo charger. It might be accessible, the same IC is used in the m5 stack fire device https://devices.esphome.io/devices/m5stack-fire/
adding battery state would make battery powered screens more useful
