Changes

• Ruler: straight-line distances in the map view, snapping to bodies, body surfaces (the edge of a planet's disc), and points on orbit lines
• Protractor: true 3D angle at a chosen apex plus both arm lengths, e.g. the phase angle between two planets around their star
• Surface mode: pin two points to a body's surface for the great-circle distance, chord, and initial bearing; pins track the body's rotation
• Free placement: clicks on empty space land on the camera plane, ctrl-click places on the ecliptic plane through the reference body
• Live preview with snap highlighting, hover-sync between the measurement list and the map, and click-to-copy values
• Short right-click cancels a placement, or pauses measuring so the game plays normally with the window still open

Compatibility

Tested against KSA build version 2026.6.3.4568.

Installation

Extract into Documents\My Games\Kitten Space Agency\mods\MeasureTools.
Requires StarMap.
