Split Memories

Split Memories

Split Memories is a game taking place in the deep subconscious. A scientist is capable of making his way inside the brain of his patients with his avant-garde technology, patients whose reality is fractured within two distinct visions. On the left lies the rational and true reality, while on the right, there's a world inside the mirror distorted by emotions. Each level takes place within the mind of different people, with both their reality and the events created by their imagination. So the goal is to match the two visions, moving the objects to be in the same place and time. You'll have to move masks, books, crystals, and sometimes even press buttons. But stay focused. "Sometimes, even who takes care of others needs to be taken care of."

How to download the game

The game can be downloaded in two ways:

  1. Official method — Download the game from GitHub on the releases section or Itch.io

  2. Source method — Download the project source code from this repository and export the game with Godot 4.7 (or play it straight from the engine).

Use the Official method to get the original, fully supported experience. Use the Source method if you want to modify the game, create mods, or build a custom version.

AI Disclaimer

We place great value on human work and creativity. We started developing games and products because we strongly believe in these ideas, in which brainstorming and authentic idea generation are part of our process. For this reason, no AI was used, neither fully nor partially, in the creation of our concepts, mechanics, level design, assets (graphics, drawings, sprites, fonts, sounds, music, etc...) or in any part of our creative writing (story, dialogue, etc...).

We believe AI tools are innovative productivity tools that should be used critically and intelligently, as support for people, not as a replacement, and never abused. We only use AI occasionally for coding tasks, such as optimization or solving very difficult bugs or issues, and even then, all changes are carefully reviewed, fully understood, and adapted to the codebase when needed. We also use AI to check and correct possible grammar errors, in order to guarantee high quality products.
