[Announcement] LFRic Apps vn2.1 Release

I'm very pleased to announce that the LFRic Apps vn2.1 release is complete. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to making this a success.

This release includes the forking of the UM physics - there is no longer any dependency between the LFRic Apps and UM codebases. For more details on this see this wiki page.

We would also strongly encourage all Met Office developers to be using the new platforms - both Azure Spice and the EX Quads - for their work going forwards. We will be removing support for the legacy platforms shortly after the completion of the Azure Spice UAT.

Apologies if this is not the right place to ask but how do I get access to EX Quads please?

Hi Dennis - I believe these systems are internal only to the Met Office at the moment and the collaboration partition is still to come. I'll amend the announcement to make it clearer that I'm refering to MO developers at the moment. Thanks
