Is MikTex abandoned?

Hi,

I always liked MikTex, because i could run it on all my Systems (Windows/Linux). But currently the experiance is not what I expected. Issues & even PRs are automatically closed (my suggestion: after 2 months of no activity). There is no port for Debain 13. There is an increasing number of people who can't even install MikTex on Windows any longer....

All these individual incidents paint an overall picture, that lead to one question:

Is MikTex alive? Or is this very good piece of software abandoned?

I've just tried to install on a fresh installation of Trixie and I get errors. Fingers very crossed.
