I used MikTex 2.9 on Windows10 for a long time, now I changed to Windows 11 and installed the latest MikTex. But I could not compile my old .tex files, I always got error messages.
Eventually, I found out, that the amssymb and the german packages do not work together. At least, this I found, no idea whether others will pop up later.
