Fix all prominent issues and update

Hi all, I'm the creator of this plugin. It's been unmaintained for a while, but I'm going to try and fix that!

Issues to fix, in order of priority:

1. crash handling
2. update
3. post requests

I'll do my best to get this done before the end of the year, but no promises - I'm busy!
