WebView2 Runtime error #5626

The safest route is to repair or reinstall WebView2, not remove it permanently. A lot of Windows apps use the WebView2 Runtime even if you do not launch it directly. Try this order:
Microsoft’s WebView2 distribution docs describe the Evergreen Bootstrapper as the normal online installer, and their troubleshooting page also calls out running the installer as administrator and closing WebView2-based apps during install/update:
If it still fails, the next useful detail is the exact install error code or a screenshot of the reminder. Without that, removing random WebView2 folders is more likely to break the app that is asking for it. |

Andrei,
Your instructions seem to have fixed what I asked about.
Thank you so much.

Try this order:
1. Close Edge and any WebView2-based apps first, especially Teams, Outlook/new Outlook, Widgets, or any app that might be showing the reminder.
2. Open Windows Settings -> Apps -> Installed apps, search for Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, then choose Modify or Repair if Windows offers it.
3. If repair is not available or does not help, download WebView2 again from Microsoft’s official page and run the Evergreen Bootstrapper as administrator: https://developer.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge/webview2/
4. If the small bootstrapper fails, use the Evergreen Standalone Installer from the same page and pick the correct architecture, usually x64 on most PCs.
5. Restart Windows after the repair/reinstall.

* https://learn.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/microsoft-edge/manageability/update-install-rollback-failures
If it still fails, the next useful detail is the exact install error code or a screenshot of the reminder. Without that, removing random WebView2 folders is more likely to break the app that is asking for it.

I get reminded every time I use my computer that an error exits and I want to remove this reminder as I do not use WebView2 Runtime. I have not been able to install the WebView 2 software to stop this annoying reminder.
Can you give me clear instructions how to avoid this error message please?
