Slow/lagging when switching between dashboard and log

First, I really love the approach this is taking to coding agents, it clicks with how I think to manage my tasks and agents so 👏

Although, I did notice a bit of lag I thought I should report.

I'm using a MacBook Pro with the M4 Pro and Ghostty (everything updated including Claude). I opened chief new and everything worked and the PRD was created. It came up with 9 items, as it started to work on that list I tried to switch between the dashboard view in the TUI and the log, I tried to switch back after nothing happened but it appeared that is was really sluggish to switch, then trying to scroll the log also was incredibly laggy.

This was addressed in v0.5.3 — log lines are now pre-rendered and cached to eliminate per-frame rebuilds, which should resolve the lag you experienced.

To update, just run:
