Thanks for the feedback :) About similar assets / duplicatesThis is a very good idea, I actually already had a box on my roadmap called "Add special options for duplicates / similar pictures", but I don't really know what to do. Since the official duplicates found by Immich are too strict in my opinion, I thought of some kind of button that would open a popup / screen with aggregated results from both "duplicates" and "find similar pictures". Then you could quickly compare and choose the ones you want to keep. But it might be a bit over complicated, and some questions remain :
Your idea seems much more logical and easy to implement. The only drawback is that for similar assets to be side-by-side, they need to have close enough timestamps, and you have to use chronological sorting. I'll happily get your thoughts on this. In all cases I'll probably implement your idea because it can be handy even if not for duplicates. About the KEEP and FAVOURITEFrom what you've said, I guess that in your understanding, "FAVOURITE" is a sorting option just like KEEP, DELETE etc. Is that correct? If so, it makes me realize that the available options are not really clear in the app. I did it like that because an asset can be archived AND favourite at the same time. Same goes for favourite AND locked... To make it more clear, I should probably move the "add to favourites" button onto the swipe card itself, instead of putting next to other real swipe choices... What do you think about this? About Exifs star ratingsI personally don't use Exifs rating system, but I totally get the point and think other people would also benefit from this feature. Sorry for the "pavé" as we say in french, hope that it won't discourage you! 😁 |

Love the app concept, finding it very useful. However, one thing I'm struggling with is that I generally take groups of photos that looks fairly similar so being able to flip between them quickly helps my catch the small difference and chose the better photo.
I'd suggest adding the option to enable taping on the side of the photo to navigate forwards and backwards through the ones in the current view quickly. Preferably in both the normal view and in full screen.
Additionally, sometimes there's more nuance than just Keep or Favorite. Being able to set the star Exif rating adds some lets the user bucket the photos a bit better.
Potentially, after swiping right to keep the photo, continuing to hold and then swiping up could start adding stars the higher the user swiped. This could be disabled by default also and opt-in from the settings.
I can possibly help code and definitely help test
