🎨 Color themes

Settings now ship 6 hand-tuned designer color themes on top of the classic dark / light / system modes. Pick one from the new theme picker (a clean combobox) in Settings → Appearance and the whole interface recolors instantly.

🌈 Customizable accent color

Choose your own accent color — either from a row of presets or a full custom color picker. It recolors the now-playing highlights, progress bars, volume fills and other primary controls across the player, so you can make Audex match your setup.

🖥️ System tray

Audex now lives in the system tray. Control playback — play / pause and previous / next — straight from the tray menu, and closing the window keeps the app running in the background so your music never stops. Click the tray icon to bring the window back.

🔔 Update notifications

The app now checks for new releases on launch and shows a tidy in-app banner when a newer version is available, with a one-click button to the download page. Dismiss it and it stays out of your way for the rest of the day, reappearing the next day (or immediately for any newer version). Localized into all five UI languages.

🐛 Fixes

• Fixed rows occasionally vanishing during fast library scrolling.
• Minor polish to the playbar volume accent.

Notes

Builds are unsigned:

• macOS — right-click the app → Open, or run xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Audex.app.
• Windows — SmartScreen may warn on first launch; click More info → Run anyway.

Linux (AppImage + .deb), macOS (.dmg/.zip, Apple Silicon) and Windows (installer/.zip) builds are attached below.
