Hello,
It seems that currently, under pymongo3, MongoEngine's aggregates do not obey the read_preference setting on a query_set. I made the necessary change and added a failing test.
The test under pymongo2 is a bit awkward. The read_preference is currently working as it should be but there seem to be no way to read what was set via kwargs on the underlying pymongo aggregate.
Anyway, thanks for the work done on MongoEngine 👍
