TEST CARD: Implement In-App Poll for Real-Time User Feedback
Test Owner @Tendolls
Hypothesis:
We believe that integrating a non-intrusive in-app poll will help gather valuable real-time user insights to inform feature implementation.
Need: A seamless feedback collection mechanism to understand user preferences and pain points without causing frustration.
In order to: Make data-driven decisions and prioritize features that align with user needs.
This will increase our North Star Metric by: 30% in user engagement and feedback submission.
Test:
To verify that, we will:
Design and Implement the Poll:
-
Create a multiple-choice pop-up poll with the following attributes:
-
Question:
"How would you prefer to activate the mic?”
Options:
1. Hold and Release: Press and hold the mic button while speaking, then release to stop.
2. One Tap: Tap once to start speaking and tap again to stop.
3. A clear “X” option for users to decline participation. -
Placement and Frequency:
-
Display the poll after specific user actions (e.g., 5th translation, completing an SST task).
-
Ensure the poll is shown only once per user per session to avoid frustration.
-
Testing and Optimization:
-
Test the poll across various devices and user segments to ensure functionality and usability.
-
Gather initial feedback on the poll’s design and adjust as needed.
Metric:
And measure:
- Participation rate: Percentage of active users completing the poll.
- Decline rate: Users choosing the "X" option.
- Feature prioritization: Insights gathered from poll data to inform sprint planning.
- User satisfaction: Feedback indicating that the poll was non-intrusive and easy to complete.
Criteria:
We are right if:
- At least 50% of active users participate in the poll.
- 90% of users report no frustration with the pop-up.
- Insights from the poll lead to at least one prioritized feature in the next sprint.
