Please set "Media Preview" to off by default

I want to save as much electricity as possible so I spin down my drives after a short time of inactivity. This feature would constantly wake up my drives because it starts playing stuff when you hover over the thumbnail. It's a fun feature but I don't think it should be turned on by default. I want to recommend this app to a friend but I don't want them to have this feature enabled.

If you have the moonbase plugin installed, you can change the default settings for all your users to whatever you want

This! I believe that feature is off by default now, but if you hit this toggle, any new user account you create would force that setting regardless.

Why not just go to Settings > Dynamic Content > Local Previews > Media Previews and disable it?

I did that but then I thought about my friends that have access to it. I personally don't think such a feature should be a default. It messes with how I want my server to run and I have to tell all my friends to turn this off if they want to use this app.
I understand if you disagree and I will try the moonfin plugin way the other person explained. If that works then this would be solved, didn't know the plugin existed.

the plugin is definitely the solution. basically any of the personalization/dynamic content settings can be changed in the plugin to set the new default for all users on your server to whatever you want
