Releases: MorlachAU/SN2PropulsionTweaks
Release list
v1.1.1 - Nexus/GitHub metadata
Maintenance release - no gameplay changes.
Adds Nexus + GitHub metadata so SN2ModSettings shows 'View on Nexus' / 'View on GitHub' buttons next to the mod.
Nexus: https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica2/mods/326
One universal zip for Nexus, CurseForge and manual installs. Same install steps as v1.1.0.
v1.1.0 - ON/OFF toggles
Simplified the settings to clean ON/OFF toggles.
The effect is binary - Subnautica 2 soft-caps swim speed at ~2x base, so the old 1-2x sliders were redundant with the enable toggles. Now:
- Faster Swimming - on = the game's max swim speed (~2x), off = vanilla
- Faster Tadpole - on = 2x acceleration / top speed, off = vanilla
Toggling off now cleanly restores the vanilla value. Same conservative, clip-safe behavior as 1.0.0, just a tidier UI.
Requirements: UE4SS for Subnautica 2 + SN2ModSettings. Single-player / host only.
Install: extract into /Subnautica2/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/ and add 'SN2PropulsionTweaks : 1' to mods.txt.
v1.0.0 - Initial Release
Faster underwater movement for Subnautica 2, tuned conservatively for clipping safety. In-game SN2ModSettings sliders:
- Swim Speed (1-2x) - swim at the game's max swim ceiling without needing fins. Fins/Wakemaker still stack on top.
- Vehicle Speed / Tadpole (1-2x) - higher acceleration and top speed.
Why only 2x? The game soft-caps swim speed at ~2x base; past that it clamps and higher speeds clip through terrain / outrun world streaming. The mod stops where it stays safe.
Requirements: UE4SS for Subnautica 2 + SN2ModSettings.
Single-player / host only - movement is server-authoritative.
Install: extract into /Subnautica2/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/ and add 'SN2PropulsionTweaks : 1' to mods.txt. One zip for Nexus, CurseForge and manual installs. See README.
