Hi,
I have a 2017 Porsche Panamera 971 with PCM 4.1.
Train: MHI2_ER_POG24_P3649
MU: 0983
I installed M.I.B. and created a full backup before making any changes. The backup is still available.
First I enabled Widescreen CarPlay, which worked correctly.
Afterwards I tried to enable Fullscreen/Wholescreen CarPlay through GEM. My wireless CarPlay adapter was unfortunately still connected during this process.
After applying the Fullscreen modification, the PCM would only boot to the Porsche logo.
I then inserted the M.I.B. SD card again. M.I.B. autostart actually worked and I reached the green “Running MAGIC – This will take 2–5 minutes” screen.
Unfortunately, it remained on this screen for about 15 minutes without any visible progress, so I switched the ignition off.
Since then the situation is:
My main question:
What is the safest recovery procedure from this state?
Can the original ifs-root-stage2 from my M.I.B. backup be restored through RCC/Telnet using a D-Link DUB-E100, even though GEM and M.I.B. autostart are no longer accessible?
Or does this state require an emergency firmware/SWDL recovery or bench/eMMC recovery?
I have ordered a D-Link DUB-E100 and I do not want to write anything else to the unit until I know the correct recovery procedure.
Any help with the correct commands/procedure for POG24 P3649 / MU0983 would be greatly appreciated.
