Operating System: windows 10 pro

Summary of the issue or suggestion: I always used MultiMC launcher whit a sp account but now that I bought minecraft premium when I try to add my account appears this error: http://prntscr.com/dpf83f

I want to specify that if i use minecraft official launcher the game will not start but on my second pc this work fine without generating errors

I don't know if there are other posts concerning this issue but i hope that someone answare me.

Something in your network (or even running on that computer) is claiming to be authserver.mojang.com.

This is BAD.

Open up cmd.exe and tell me what it prints when you run ping authserver.mojang.com

It should be similar to this:

What IP address is it showing for you?

If I ping 52.222.172.252 it work (24ms TTL=240) but if I ping authserver.mojang.com the request drop and show me 35.156.90.191 as IP.
I also noticed that my pages in chrome are https so I think that SSL/TLS work fine on my network. I tried to launch minecraft with its official launcher in a second pc and it works well. So may the problem be in my primary pc?

Actually my antivirus is sophos and I think that this is the best free antivirus that I tried in my life (it found some virus on my last pc that other premium antiviruses didn't found).
Should I uninstall it and try launching minecraft again? or maybe is the windows firewall?
What would you do in this case?

Disabling all of that stuff temporarily would be a thing to try for sure. If it stars working, you know that some of it is the problem.

@Xfarne98 Sometimes antiviruses MITM all SSL requests. Just turn that off.

A quick google search shows that Sophos does this as well. It's called Decrypt and Scan HTTPS and you can disable it in Sophos settings. The other option is for MultiMC to start trusting the user SSL cert store, which is probably a bad idea.

I have temporarily uninstalled my antivirus, disabled windows firewall and resetted all settings of it but the problem persist.
The error says "need to update your root certificates". Should I do something about it?
Anyone who has others suggestions for me?

Are you using Windows XP?

Root certificate solution is clearly for XP users.
