I just started using MultiMC and have already encountered a caveat of sorts present in the vanilla launcher: ASCII sorting of versions.
Yes, #3490 exists, and might be implemented via something as simple as replacing strcmp() (or whatever y’all use; I haven’t looked at the code) with natural sort. However, I believe that manual sorting would also be useful in that a user could order their instances arbitrarily, i.e. by what is used most often, or by mod type without relying on groups.
