What's New

New End-User Portal (/standard)

Users can now log in to a dedicated self-service portal to:

• Upload Videos – Simple, guided video uploads with progress tracking
• View Your Videos – See all uploaded videos with status, duration, and metadata
• Track Assignments – Monitor which channels received your videos and their current status (pending, accepted, downloaded, expired)
• Manage Channels – Choose which channels you want to distribute your videos to
• Control Notifications – Configure which email notifications you want to receive
• View History – Complete transparency into when channels downloaded your content and any feedback

Team-Based Organization

• Every user automatically gets their own team to organize their content
• Users can manage channel selection and distribution preferences at the team level
• Foundation for future multi-user team collaboration

Notification System

• In-App Notifications – Real-time alerts in the notification bell when videos are processed or duplicates detected
• Email Notifications – Automatic emails when your video is successfully uploaded or if a duplicate is found
• Configurable Preferences – Users can opt-in/opt-out from specific notification types in their profile

Better Offer Management

• Clearer Expiration Dates – Video offers now expire at the end of the day (not at the exact minute) making it easier to understand validity periods
• Duplicate Prevention – The system now prevents the same video from being processed multiple times if accidentally uploaded twice
• Channel-Specific Quotas – Admins can set different distribution quotas per channel

GDPR & Privacy

• Cookie Notice – Minimal banner informing users about strictly necessary cookies
• Privacy Controls – Users have granular control over which notifications they receive via email
• Audit Trail – All important events are logged and tracked

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where notification preferences weren't being saved properly
• Fixed registration errors where users couldn't log in after account creation
• Improved video upload stability to prevent database lock errors during processing
• Fixed offer expiration calculations for better accuracy

Getting Started

1. Users visit /standard to access the new portal
2. Upload videos through the simple upload interface
3. Select which channels to distribute to
4. Monitor assignments and track downloads in real-time
5. Manage notification preferences in your profile

Compatibility

This release is fully backward compatible. No breaking changes.

• Existing videos and channels continue to work as before
• Admin panel (/admin) remains unchanged
• New features are additive – nothing was removed

Testing Notes

When testing this release, please verify:

• Users can register and access the /standard portal
• Video uploads complete successfully and appear in the video list
• Channel selection works and videos are distributed to chosen channels
• Assignment tracking shows correct status updates
• Notification preferences are saved and respected
• Email notifications arrive when expected
• Offers expire correctly at end-of-day
