Introducing the Upload Portal

We now offer a dedicated upload service for contributing new simulation data to the FAIRMD Lipids project. The goal is to make submissions easier for new contributors and more consistent for the project as a whole. You sign in with your GitHub account.

With this service, you provide the details of your simulation through a simple form. The website takes this information, packages it into the required metadata file and sends it to Bilayer Data-repository on GitHub, where it is processed using our NREC cloud compute resources. A pull request with your submitted information is created in the BilayerData repository and a link to this pull request appears immediately after the upload completes.

Contributors should not be concerned about minor technical issues in submitted info files. Such issues are common and are routinely identified and corrected by project maintainers as part of the review process.

Only your GitHub username is used in the process, this can also be easily checked by the users. The username also allows us to tag contributors in the pull request with updates and if clarifications are needed.
