Why model.log_prediction=false is not working in NeMo 2.1.0

I was tryting to finetune ASR model. But can't disable log_prediction

Hi,
I personally set it to False just before launching training if it can help:

asr_model = get_base_model(trainer, cfg)
asr_model.wer.log_prediction=False
trainer.fit(asr_model)

But for hybrid decoding "nvidia/stt_be_fastconformer_hybrid_large_pc" I did not successfully hide both predictions.

Hi, yes before this line. If you find a way for hybrid decoding models to hide both predictions, I will be happy to know it !

@AudranBert asr_model_.wer.log_prediction=False did not work for me. Could not find any way to solve it. I tried multiples ways to overwrite the log_prediction parameter but nothing works for me. it's always storing the true value for the log_prediction

@titu1994 do you have any clue regarding this?

Hi, as I said it works for non-hybrid models, you seem to use an hybrid one. In the case of an hybrid one I think it just hide one of the 2 outputs. In the same category, I can't change the "CTC decoding strategy" to "greedy_batch". I tried lot of things but without any sucess.

@AudranBert. Yes. it works for the non-hybrid model in my case also. but does not work for the hybrid model
