What do you want to work on?

Hey, I am a systems software engineer, I already contributed in Nico repro of Nvidia. I want to fix this particular issue #2173 which is cross-device bug. I already reproduced it and verified with unit test pass, permissions are preserved on thee fallback path, also I re-ran the actual repo end-to-end to confirm the fix resolves it.

Why this change?

I am trying to lean my focus towards agentic-infra and this repo and seeing continuous development and well maintained catch my eyes, When i tested generate-certs fails outright whenever --output-dir points at a separate mounted volume(containers , WSL). My solution handles the underlying condition generically not just the one reported repro.
