Planned steps

Review existing provider profiles under providers/ (examples such as providers/openrouter.yaml) and the profile lint/validation tooling.
Draft providers/vercel-ai-gateway.yaml modeled on the repository’s reviewed example profiles.
Validate the profile locally with the project's profile linter and run relevant provider tests (e.g., openshell profile lint -f providers/vercel-ai-gateway.yaml and any SDK/profile catalog checks).
Open a small, focused PR that adds the YAML, updates any provider catalog or tests required, and documents usage in providers/ or docs if needed.

Why this change?

A reviewed example profile for the Vercel AI Gateway will make it easier and safer for users to run the fx client (and similar tools) inside sandboxes without exposing their AI_GATEWAY_API_KEY more broadly than necessary. It reduces repeated mistakes (wrong binary paths or overly-broad scopes), improves onboarding, and helps keep sandboxed workloads secure.

Software developer familiar with backend systems, developer tooling, and secure runtime environments.
Comfortable running local builds, Docker/Podman, and following CONTRIBUTING.md I can run mise and the repo checks if requested.
