block_copy() API sounds really useful judging from the chang log, but the python interface doesn't seem to have it yet.

@tridao thanks for reporting this. It's in the 12.9 wheel if you'd like to try out. We will expose it in 13.1 wheel in the upcoming 4.5.1 release.
