Description
While radiocarbon dates on directly dated specimens (identified taxa) are listed in the Geochronlogy datasets, the taxa dated are not listed. See, for example, dataset 39062 from Qagnax̂ Cave. All the radiocarbon dates are on identified specimens, polar bear (Ursus maritimus) or woolly mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius), but these are not listed, nor are the other metadata (specimen details, element, and fraction dated).
Complicating this issue, is that the specimens dated is a many-to-one relationship, i.e. a single radiocarbon date may be on more than one taxon, e.g. a mixture of Picea and Larix needles. Tilia uses a dropdown secondary grid for this relationship. Perhaps an Explorer solution would be a popup window for each date that has specimen data?
