I've added user configurable dragpad and circlepad activation threshold fields to the latest 4.12.0 alpha. Try it and let me know how it works for you! I'm also planning on adding a regular touchpad swipe threshold.

Yeah, you need to use a touchpad with a drag action defined, like the default - type: touchpad

Thanks! I got it working, but I think I worded my original request poorly. I think drag threshold only delayed first trigger. What I meant was tracking finger’s movement distance and firing UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT once every time another threshold is crossed. For example, if swipe_threshold is 30px:
So essentially, trigger once with haptic feedback for every line finger crosses, rather than only having an initial activation threshold. This makes dragging precise to land on specific item.

Could there be an option to configure how far the finger needs to move before a dragpad direction is triggered?
Currently, even a small movement can trigger UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT, which makes it difficult to land on a specific item. Tracking finger movement before triggering a direction would make swipes more deliberate.
I tried changing
sampling_delay/repeat_delay, but those affect the timing between repeated actions rather than initial movement distance.Something like:
would be great, where value controls movement distance before a direction is triggered.
