• Saylo no longer re-asks for Accessibility, microphone, or speech permissions on every launch or after an update — prompts now appear only when a permission is genuinely missing.

• The trigger key (fn) reliably stops a dictation session started from the menu bar, and a duplicate key-event path that could cut sessions short right after they began is gone.

• First-run model downloads now report themselves: pressing the trigger while a model is downloading or loading shows live progress instead of a silent "Preparing speech…".

Pick Apple Speech or a local model (Qwen3 ASR or Whisper Turbo) in Settings → Language. The model downloads once, then transcribes privately on this Mac — no Apple Speech Recognition required. Each model links to its Hugging Face language list.

Read Aloud can use system voices or an on-device voice. The shortcut is now Control-Command-S, and selected text works in Chrome and Safari.
