Adaptor Cables

I have just invested in a crap ton of Mini and Micro fit connectors, 18/20 gauge cable, crimps and tooling, so I can start making the following plug and play wiring loom adaptors.

For the FSP500:

• Female 10 Pin to Male 10 Pin Extension Cable to support the Mosfet Party FSP board
• Female 10 Pin Connector for the Latching Power Button with Led Ring and Sata Connector
• Female 10 Pin Connector with the Mosfet Party Lite Board with Sata Connector
• Female 8 Pin EPS Adaptor to 2 x Male 8 Pin Micro Fit Connectors

For the Metalfish 550M:

• Male 14 Pin Connector for the Latching Power Button with Led Ring
• Male 14 Pin Connector with the Mosfet Party Lite Board
• Male 8 Pin EPS Connector to 2 x 8 Pin Micro Fit Connectors

Also, I will be designing a 3D printed plug clamp for the Micro fit connectors, this will keep them aligned so you cant mix them up, and you be able to lock them to the board so they cant work loose.

Micro-Fit to Male 8 Pin EPS to suit the Metalfish PSU, this feeds 3x2 on each plug, so all up its 6x12v and 6xGround, this gives you a max wattage capacity of 612w, should be plenty, I don't think think the PCI-E cable will be required at all.

Everything just arrived yesterday, so I will be making some over the next few days, but not a 10 to 8, its as above list.

Will be making all the required plugs to make it as easy a plug and play experience as I can provide, everything will be available on my store, I prefer to bundle with a case, but I will consider selling just the 8 Pin to dual Microfit

I've already printed the REDUX case so I wouldn't be looking to bundle, unfortunately. Would this be on your Etsy store that ships in US as well?

I will have these on my website, but shipping to US at the moment is borked, the midterms cant come fast enough.

I don't have an Etsy store, I had a deal with Gennro to resell some my cases, but I don't think he is doing that anymore, I also have deal with another guy in the UK doing the same, I'm not really affiliated with these stores, these guys just make a small donation when they sell one of my cases, its mostly an honour system to respect the non commercial licence I have on my designs.

Someone linked in this discussions area a few days ago a US site that was at least selling the EPS to Micro-Fit cable.

EPS to Micro-Fit for the FSP500-30AS

What gauge is the wire on this? I recently picked up a male to male microfit cable that I was thinking of just cutting and splicing to the 8 pin on my fsp500-30as but the guage is 22awg. Don't love the idea of splicing dissimilar awe but I think it's on the edge of acceptable for this application amp wise but would appreciate a second opinion

Thats not 22g, its 20g by the looks of it.

If it truly is 22g, then don't use it, its too thin, 20g is okay, as long as you have 2 of them, I have tested this and that seem to handle it fine, and 18g is overkill but overkill is better than not enough.
