I'm thinking about moving the power button LED supply between the GND and PWM points (on the right side of the diagram) and keeping the 1kOhm resistor in series. That way, all the power button wiring will connect directly to the YYNMOS-1 board, requiring only 3 wires from the FSP500-30AS 10-pin connector, which will make assembly much easier. I'll test it out tomorrow and I'll let you know...

Incredible, I couldn’t get anything done. I don’t have a 1 kΩ resistor, and the new kit will arrive tomorrow, so I’ll continue the project afterward. The power indicator LED is RGB in a single package; I burned it out by connecting it directly to 12 VDC, which is why I need the series resistor. However, I can power it directly from the 10-pin connector on the FSP500-30AS, using any pin that provides 3.3 VDC. But as I mentioned earlier, it would be easier for assembly to take both the power switch and the LED power directly from the YYNMOS-1 board. I’ll keep you posted.

Here’s the super-cheap momentary switch. It looks like garbage, but it does the job and is good enough for testing.

Not a fan of the Keyboard style switches, actuation is too soft for my faceplate design, I prefer the buttons that I use instead, but this is a good option for those that want a cheaper alternative, also I would avoid the fan output, some PSU like the Metalfish have too much capacitance and wont let these boards power down properly, not sure if this one has this issue, but its possible.

Thanks for the info, I’ll definitely keep that in mind.

Personally, I’m not a fan of soldering anything directly to the BC-250, so for me it’s easier to take the 12VDC signal from the PST extension of one of the ARCTIC P12 Pro PST fans.

With that in mind, I’ll look into what connector I can use to get the 12VDC directly from TPMS1.

If you already have a latching button, you can convert it to momentary by printing the button body an extra 1mm longer, this will inhibit full latching actuation and make it operate like a momentary button.

Got mine setup and the menu shutdown works fine however should the power button also power it down? Would it be noc or no leads on the switch that I use?? I Used no c and it appears to work.

Yeh I kinda like RP2040's for this sort of stuff, just drop the firmware on the mounted flash storage and it reboots automatically, job done, I have never really like anything ESP or Arduino, RPI is as low level as I like to go, Im more of an x86 type of dude.
