Cant use custom certificate.

Good morning,

I have bought from my web manager a wildcard certificate for the domain and subdomains. I have 3 files (cer, crt and pem) I try to upload them in the custom certificate option but it gives me an error.
Upload failed: Certificate Key is not valid (Command failed: openssl pkey -in / tmp / 8b07e673-44f0-451d-8f7c-0fdf81003344 / tmp -check -noout 2> & 1)

Any idea?

It could be that nginx expects a .key file as certificate key (not a .pem). Also it maybe necessary to separate certificate, intermediate & key into the following files:

• Certificate (public Certificate for your site): .crt
• Intermediate (Certificate from your signing authority): .crt/pem
• Key (your private key): .key

By the way, these cer, crt and pem files can be edited by a simple text editor (in most cases).

Note for the team: Maybe a hint regarding the correct file type, for each opinion in the WebUI would be helpful here.

Hi i am new to NPM and have the same issue. I have a wildcard certificate which works fine in my nginx configs but when I try to upload the files to NPM I get the error the key file is password protected (which is not true).

Any hints on that?

Same issue here with GoDaddy certs
