Website unresponsive when domain url is too long

Hi, if I added an URL that is too long for the Domain name when adding a host, my example domain URL has 37 characters in total, makes the application/website unresponsive, and requires a full refresh.
Tested in Chrome, installed with docker on local machine, ubuntu vps and unraid server. Not sure if it is a feature or a bug, that there is a limitation on the domain name length, but it is quite unhandy as the domain I own has quite lot of characters...

I've tried this, and the UI does freeze for a few seconds when adding the period, but it becomes responsive again afterwards. It is because of this:

But as this seems to be an issue in a 3rd party library, and it now seems to be only a minor hiccup, (and there are so many open issues in this repo) I will close this for now. If this is still more than a slight inconvenience for you, let me know.

Also experience this. It's anything but minor. The entire npm locks up for quite a long time and it's not running on an underpowered server.

What is the point of having the feature that causes this? The feature itself seems rather useless or, at best, minimally useful, to be causing such a headache.

We are trying to use this proxy in production and have the same issue. Is there any progress or known workaround??

When I add a new proxy host and Copy&Past the long (46 charcaters) hostname in, it is accepted without any problem. When I type in this long hostname the Nginx Proxy Manager hangs.

I want to use a single letter private domain "r" so I can use r/ without typing reddit, because I think it'd be cool, but for some reason single letter domains aren't allowed by nginx proxy manager.
