Map from a semi-private SMP server: http://smp.em32.net/map/ World is approx 41000 chunks (about 160M compressed). There are about 17000 rendered tiles (totaling 5gigs!)

Another example map: http://waysaboutstuff.com/map/ ~40900 chunks (~177MB) and ~16000 tiles. I think the first full render took 2-3 hours.

http://novylen.net/~minecraft/ - about 850,000 chunks at the time of writing, took two days to render the chunks and another two days to render the tiles (the first time). Incremental updates daily take about an hour. --rbos

http://qt3minecraft.project357.com/map/ Quarter To Three's map. The thread is here: http://www.quartertothree.com/game-talk/showthread.php?t=60679.

http://mortalpowers.com/minemap/ Small 3 person server map. ~5000 chunks ~95MB output size. Generated using nice -n19 python gmap.py ~/world/ /super/workspace/mortalpowers.com/minemap/

Langfordia Midsize map on a private server. ~17000 chunks, automated incremental updates every three hours take ~10 minutes. c10t-generated flat maps are also publicly viewable.
