One card to rule them all

Hi!

I’ve been working on the biggest change to F1 Sensor’s dashboard experience so far: a new, modular F1 card that gives you much more freedom over what you see and how you see it.

The idea is simple: one card, built around the data that matters to you.

You can build a compact race weekend overview, a detailed live timing display, a dashboard focused on your favourite driver or team, or your own combination. Use the same card multiple times, each with different content and settings.

Everything is designed around Home Assistant’s visual editor, so you can build and customise your cards without writing YAML. Start with a template or build from scratch, combine modules, rearrange them, choose which fields to show, and adjust their appearance. You can also set conditions that control when individual modules are visible.

This is still a work in progress, but I’m getting close to beta testing, and I’d like to find people who want to actively help shape it.

I’m looking for people willing to use it on their own dashboards, try different configurations, test during race weekends, and come back with honest, specific feedback. Bugs matter, but so does everything around them: confusing settings, missing options, awkward layouts, and ideas that could make the card more useful.

You don’t need to be a developer. How it works for you in everyday use is exactly what I need to understand.

I’d like this discussion to become an active place for testing, questions, suggestions, and sharing setups. Your feedback at this stage will have a real influence on the final product and where development goes next. There’s still room to rethink things, improve them, and explore ideas I haven’t considered.

Great project, would like to be involved in beta testing.
Currently using live, and replay modes. Tried some different views and automations when VSC etc. that took a while using helpers and trialling different ways. Doesn't always work but not tried the lights in a few races as was going to replace them,

Hey, discovered this before last race and love the idea. I’m currently using it on my laptop and phone dashboards, with the idea of implementing it also on a tablet for easier usage during races.
Love to beta test if useful!
