📚 Usage

Caution

Either a Pro or an Enterprise version of Windows 11 is required, as other versions do not support Group Policies. Windows IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 is recommended.

Important

The installer version (NitroWinSetup-...) requires some sort of .NET 10 Runtime.

Warning

Don't forget to configure NitroWin! Check out the documentation if you have any questions or problems.

1. Download the latest zipped version of NitroWin.

2. Extract it to the root of your installation media. Assuming, your installation media is mounted under D:/, your file structure should look like this:

   D:/
   ├── (Windows setup files)
   ├── autounattend.xml
   └── NitroWin/
       ├── NitroWin.exe
       └── (optional) Configuration/
           ├── (optional) Bundles/
           ├── (optional) Apps.yml
           └── (optional) Config.yml
   

3. Install Windows as usual. NitroWin should run automatically. If it doesn't, run it manually.

4. (Optional, but highly recommended) Use WinUtil and OOSU for even better privacy.
