How can I serve a vault in readonly mode?

I roughly achieved this by making the vault files not writable by the ignis user, but I still get the 'could not be saved' popup. It's also poor UX that files appear to be editable before the popup offers to reload.

What I'd like:

• no attempted writes to $VAULT/ (I can overlay some writable files in $VAULT/.obsidian if needed)
• all notes open in reading view
• users can't change to edit mode

Bonus:

• 'kiosk' mode where the url designates one note to be opened and displayed without tab bar, menu bar, etc. Links to other notes should work. A hotkey like alt-home should return us to the designated first page.

This is an interesting feature suggestion and definitely a candidate for the roadmap. I can't say how soon I can get around to it though given the other tasks I have.

I'll look into what this will entail once I get some extra time, and come back with any follow up questions.
