Extend the course: Python, debugging, own project, performance
New modules, all verified against the GeoDMS source and main wiki:
- Module 1e: reading errors and debugging (error texts verified in
ConfigParse.cpp/AbstrUnit.cpp a.o.; GUI shortcuts against qtgui).
- Module 2D: GeoDMS and Python (parquet roundtrip with pandas; the
three integration architectures; links Why-GeoDMS).
- Module 10: starting your own project (skeleton modeled on the
Academy exercise configs; placeholders and version control).
- Deepening II: performance and memory (tiling, multithreading
settings verified in the Qt GUI source, value-type memory table,
strategic decoupling).
Extensions and repairs:
- Parquet added to Modules 2A/2B; export-for-reporting in 2B;
strategic decoupling section in 2C; recurring check-your-units
notes in Modules 4, 5, 8 and 9.
- Truncated impedance_table example in Module 6a completed (verified
against DijkstraString.cpp); Deepening I finished with the missing
impedance call and repaired against the real MakeNetwork template;
7b Assignment 3 rewritten to match the actual LandUseModelling
demo project.
- Outdated Vesta module (GeoDMS 7.311 era) removed.
- Sidebar and Home updated; navigation footers chained.

Repair and verify all Academy pages against current GeoDMS
Full sweep of the 27 pages:
- Image wiki-links converted to embeds; absolute wiki image URLs made
relative; MediaWiki artifacts removed.
- Old module numbering in cross-links repaired (grid=5, networks=6a/b,
allocation=7/7b) including visible link texts and footers.
- Dead geodms.nl/docs links retargeted to the GitHub wiki; links to
pages removed from the main wiki cleaned up.
- Code blocks verified against the GeoDMS source: parameter vs
attribute declarations in Module 1, scope of org_rel in 1c, label
lookup in 1d, for_each x-option in 3, point_in_all_polygons and
overlay subitem names (first_rel/second_rel) in 4, diversity
signature in 5, non-existent distmatrix replaced by
impedance_matrix, bp_union_polygon aligned with the module's own
geos advice.
- Old Delphi GUI menu paths updated to the current Qt GUI (verified
against qtgui source): Update Subtree (Ctrl+T), Settings dialogs,
editor buttons, default C:/ data folders.
- Home: outline now includes final exercises 8 and 9, FSS and MMD
named, and a pointer to Why-GeoDMS for Python users.
