the application does not open , DEB and Gnome Wayland

Summary

it's in the title, after installing the DEB, v 0.20.0 (or 0.19.0), OneKeePass does not open. On the other hand, under KDE, it opens (on my other computer).

What software is involved?

• Operating System: Ubuntu Gnome Wayland 25.10
• OneKeePass: 0.20.0

Steps to Reproduce

I click in the menu or on the OneKeePass icon in the Gnome menu to open it. Nothing happens. I see the icon for a few seconds in the taskbar or dock but the window is not displayed and the icon disappears.

Expected Behavior

we can't see the main window

Actual Behavior

when I try to open OneKeePass from Terminal, there is this:

I just solved the opening problem with ChatGPT.

I changed OneKeePass.desktop ( in Home , .local/share/applications/)
to the line Exec= , I replaced the line with: Exec=env GDK_BACKEND=x11 OneKeePass

Now the application opens.

Thanks for the info.

I am not that familiar with wayland setup. I am relying on the Tauri's build support for Linux platforms.

Your finding will help others who may face similar issue. I will keep this issue open for now and close once I add this info to a doc for others reference
