I ended up forking OnionOS to making it more compatible with the Mini Flip to see if I could use LLM coding tools to make it work better. I reached a point where I would consider it a decent proof of concept or functional. I am wondering if anyone with actual development experience might be able to actually work on it to make it production ready. I don't really think what I have is production ready and there is probably quite a bit of room for optimizations, especially with up-scaling apps vs branching out to have native 560/540p, so I elected to not try and submit a PR. Thanks.
