Data Exchange Components: Extending Format Support Without Limits

OCCT provides a solid set of open-source data exchange formats out of the box: STEP, IGES, GLTF, BREP, STL, VRML, PLY, OBJ, and XCAF. These cover a wide range of use cases and are freely available under the LGPL 2.1 license.

However, many industries require support for proprietary and specialized formats. That is why we offer a set of commercial data exchange components that extend OCCT with additional format support:

All components follow the same unified DE_Wrapper API that OCCT uses for its built-in formats (like STEP or GLTF). Each format is a single library with a consistent interface, available on all supported platforms.

2. Unlimited usage. No seat-based licensing or per-deployment fees. Your applications can use the components without restrictions.
3. No internet access required. The components work entirely offline, with no activation servers or license checking over the network.
4. Broad OCCT version compatibility. All commercial components are compatible with every public OCCT release, including versions older to 7.2.0. You do not need to upgrade your OCCT version to use them.
