Screen flickering

Describe the bug

Hi,
Having a serious flickering problem on my laptop, I've tried - unsuccessfully - to solve it using the solutions offered on the net (like everyone else, I imagine).
I'm under Windows 11 23H2, but it happens in an VBox virtual machine with 24H2 too.
I've just noticed by chance that closing OpenShell (version 4.4.196) solves the problem.
Does this sound plausible?

What flickering you mean?
Can you describe it somehow?

Open-Shell is not supposed to affect anything except Start menu and taskbar (if you have taskbar customizations enabled).

You mean right clicking on Star menu and selecting Exit, right?

This occurs almost with each handling in the file manager and sometimes also using programs.
During the use of the File Manager, it looks like it closes and reappears constantly.

Could it be that Explorer crashed and restarted?
You can try steps described here to see if you can obtain crash dump.

In my opinion, this is not the case ... The screen (or rather the window) starts to flash.
By regularly typing on the pavement of the laptop, it ends up stopping or the explorer closes.

Hi,
Meanwhile i tested StartX and the phenomenon also occurred, but to a lesser extent.
So I looked further and found that changing the graphics performance for explorer in Windows 11 settings seems to have solved the problem.
I reactivated Open Shell and I'll let you know if things change.
