Now open up IBus Preferences by going to System>Preferences>Other>IBus Preferences from the top panel.
The IBus Preferences window will open up.
From here, select the Input Method tab.
Click on Add, and a new window with a list of languages will pop up.
Select Bengali. You'll see OpenBangla Keyboard layout listed there.
Select it and click on Add. You'll now see two input methods listed on the Input Method tab.
Now go to the General tab and choose a Keyboard shortcut for changing your layout between English and OpenBangla Keyboard. You can see below that I've chosen it to be F12.
Reboot your system. (This is important, if you don't reboot, the changes might not take effect)
That's it! You are done! Now you can type Bangla using OpenBangla Keyboard whenever you like. If you need instructions on how to type using OpenBangla Keyboard, visit here.
